Where the Person, the Farm and Mahi meet.
Strategy, AdviCE & Industry Good Projects
Helping organisations move beyond technical fixes to focus on some of the bigger problems that are less well defined and therefore harder to solve.
Business/industry problem reframing
Strategic reviews and decision pathways
Special projects
The difference:
This isn’t about delivering a plan and walking away. It’s about working through hard problems from a different angle - supporting the definition of the problem, identifying the right solution and helping to navigate the changes required to get there. It also means being real about what it will take to solve these challenges, recognising that the outcome may require bold change and supporting the business to think through what that involves.
Supporting leaders and professionals to grow capability and confidence.
Coaching & Mentoring
Leadership and career coaching (1:1 or group)
Technical-to-strategic mentoring
Additional services may be required which could include referrals to others for specific advice about techno bull systems, sheep performance or wearables. It may also involve farm succession or transition planning and support.
Between each session a check-in service will occur to prompt progress.
The difference:
Not “rural coaching” in the motivational sense. This is structured development that blends commercial discipline with personal resilience — so a farmer or business person can sustain both performance and wellbeing over the long haul.
Experience suggests that change is hard and it takes time. Experience also suggests that in many cases, the drivers for change in a farming business are not always limited to the farm operations, but may be linked to other issues going on with the farmer.
Farm Transition & Succession
Whole-Farm Systems Analysis: Assessing the biological and financial capacity of the farm to support a transition in scale, debt, or leadership.
Strategic Transition Mapping: A structured pathway that moves people from operational "doing" to strategic "directing."
Legacy & Governance: Implementing frameworks that honour past success while clearly defining the expectations and encumbrances placed on the incoming group.
The difference:
This is a strategic deep-dive into the structural challenges that standard templates often miss. Experience suggests that the real barriers to succession are found in the friction between the Person, the Farm, and the Mahi.
My work is about identifying the leverage points in these systems—honouring the legacy of those who built the business while being real about the weight of the transition for those taking it forward. By looking at all viable pathways, we ensure the strategy is the right fit for both the people and the capital involved, allowing the business to evolve and perform for generations to come.
Solving the structural and systemic challenges of intergenerational change.
facilitation & SPeaking
Keynote speaking for conferences and industry events
Engaging audiences and guiding conversations that matter.
Internal events and leadership retreats
Facilitation of discovery, decision-making, and discussion
Panel moderation
The difference:
Our facilitation and speaking is about inspiring the group but moreso, it’s about sparking conversations that shift thinking and leave people with tools they can actually use.
